At Outdoor Adventurers, we are a Reggio Emilia inspired play based program, where we believe all children are capable, competent and creative beings who are full of wonder and curiosity to learn.
"Environment as the third teacher" is a huge part of our program.
The benefits of nature and outdoor education:
Children who regularly play outdoors have better balance, stamina, and gross motor skills. They have improved attention, motivation and reduced stress/anxiety. Children who are involved in outdoor play show an improved cognitive skill level, problem solving and multi-tasking skills. They show they are better able to think critically and creatively.
Outdoor Adventurers follows the BC Early Learning Framework with emerging and expanding young children's physical, intellectual, emotional and creative capacities. These will prepare them for a successful transition into their school years.
