After more than 25 years of running their own family daycare's, Tracey and Toula teamed up to create Outdoor Adventurers. A 3-5 year old group daycare that is focused on nature within a full day pre-school curriculum. By having two E.C.E teachers, and having a maximum of 8 children, the teacher to child ratio is double the licensing standard. This allows each child more individual time to develop and learn at their own pace.
I received my Early Childhood Education from Capilano University and worked at the SFU daycares for two years before stepping away to raise my two boys. I opened my own Multi-Age daycare over 18 years ago. For the past number of years I have developed this unique group daycare program focusing on the outdoors with my business partner and friend Toula. I was born and raised on the North Shore and have always loved exploring our forests and beaches. As an educator I believe it is important to teach children to love and respect nature. This is what I aim to instill in each child in my care.
I opened my first family daycare when my first child was 6 months old. After all three kids graduated school I decided it was time for me to go back to school. After graduating from the Early Childhood Education Program from Vancouver Community College. In 2019 I starting working with Tracey at her daycare and together we developed this unique group childcare focusing on the outdoors. As an educator I value the relationships that I build with the children and the parents as well. These relationships have continued long after the family has left my care.
